HealthTech Week is New Zealand’s annual forum for the medical technology sector bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, regulators and health system decision-makers at a pivotal moment for healthcare in New Zealand.

With a national election approaching and significant reforms underway, HealthTech Week 2026 comes at a time of profound change for the medical device ecosystem. The conference provides a unique opportunity to hear directly from government, Health New Zealand, Pharmac and regulatory leaders about the future direction of health policy, procurement and regulation.

This year’s programme focuses on the issues shaping the operating environment for medical device suppliers, including the Medical Device Management Transition and the introduction of the Medical Products Bill, due to be introduced to Parliament in June 2026. These reforms will redefine how medical technologies are evaluated, procured and regulated in New Zealand.
